Yes. The pages on this site cover our most requested jobs, not the limits of what we do. If it is mechanical, electrical or software related and it lives under the bonnet of a VW Group car, we can diagnose and repair it. Send us the symptoms, any fault codes you have, and the car details, and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we can take on. It almost always is.
We specialise in the Volkswagen Group: Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Skoda and Cupra, plus Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini. We run the same diagnostic platforms the dealers use, ODIS, VCDS and PIWIS, and we also run BMW ISTA for BMW and MINI. Petrol and diesel, from a 1.0 TSI city car to a V10, the tooling and the experience cover the full range.
We read every control module on dealer-level equipment, then look past the codes at live data, freeze frames and measured values. Where the electronics cannot answer the question we test physically: smoke testing for air leaks, compression and leak-down testing for internal condition, pressure testing for fuel and oil systems. You get a clear explanation of the fault, the evidence behind it and a quote for the repair before we touch anything.
Direct injection engines spray fuel straight into the cylinder, so unlike older engines nothing washes the back of the intake valves. Oil vapour from the breather system bakes onto them as hard carbon. Symptoms build slowly: lumpy cold idle, cold start misfires, hesitation and lost economy. It affects FSI, TFSI and TSI engines with age and mileage, and a proper clean with the manifold off restores how the engine should feel.
Generation 2 EA888 engines, fitted to many 2008 to 2013 Audi, VW, SEAT and Skoda models, have a well-documented appetite for oil caused by the piston ring design. Before blaming the rings we run a measured consumption test and rule out cheaper causes such as the PCV breather system. If it is the rings, the lasting fix is piston and ring replacement, and we will give you an honest view on whether the car justifies it.
No. Your warranty stays intact when servicing and repairs are carried out to the manufacturer schedule using parts of matching quality, which is exactly how we work. We use genuine or OEM parts, follow factory procedures on ODIS and record everything, so your history is as strong as a dealer stamp at a fairer price.
It depends on what has failed and what the rest of the engine is worth. A single failed component on an otherwise healthy engine is nearly always worth repairing. Widespread wear, deep overheat damage or a spun bearing can tip the balance towards a replacement or reconditioned unit. We assess compression, oil pressure and service history first, then set out both routes with honest numbers so you can decide.
